The first day of summer is nearly here, and that means one thing: Make Music New York!

Join us on the Open Street on 101st Street this Saturday, June 21, for an afternoon of family fun and music-making. The schedule kicks off at noon with street games, yarn art and jewelry-making, plus opening our StreetLab mobile library for the season — and, of course, splashing in the hydrant!

Then settle in for a family-friendly Make Music NY concert at 5 p.m. hosted in partnership with the The National Jazz Museum in Harlem. The People of Earth are bringing their salsa, timba and global rhythms -- so grab your dancing shoes.

Plan to grab a bite at any of our nearby small businesses including Bar Goyana, Burritos y Mas, Cafe D’Anvers, Chu Ros Thai, Dalila’s Tacos, Taqueria El Tepeyac, Frenchy Coffee, Girasole Trattoria, Healthy Frenchy, Lloyd’s Carrot Cake, Plue Thai Kitchen, Rosenthal Wine or Sugar Hill Creamery.
